Our client is seeking a dedicated Penetration tester to join their team. As an IT Security Associate, you will be an integral part of the Security Department supporting application security initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, effective communication, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully within the organization.Job Title: Penetration testerLocation: Charlotte, NCDuration: 12+ months with highly possible extension / conversionWhat's the Job?Manage and oversee application penetration testing processes to identify vulnerabilities. Coordinate with external testers and internal development teams to schedule and conduct security assessments. Review penetration test results, document findings, and ensure timely retesting of fixed issues. Provide expert advice to management and application developers on security best practices and remediation strategies. Maintain fluency in application security testing methodologies and OWASP vulnerabilities to enhance security posture. What's Needed?Experience with application penetration testing and vulnerability assessment tools. Knowledge of OWASP Top Ten vulnerabilities and mitigation techniques. Strong understanding of security testing processes and best practices. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical teams. Ability to analyze complex security issues and recommend practical solutions.
