Concrete Laborer
Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Concrete Laborer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will play a vital part in the successful completion of various concrete projects, from pouring and finishing to formwork and reinforcement. Responsibilities
Assist in preparing construction sites by setting up forms, rebar, and other foundational elements for concrete pouring.
Operate concrete mixers, pumps, and other power tools safely and effectively to ensure smooth workflow.
Pour, spread, level, and finish concrete surfaces with precision using hand tools and finishing equipment.
Install rebar and metal studs according to blueprints and schematics to reinforce concrete structures.
Read and interpret construction drawings, schematics, and blueprints to follow project specifications accurately.
Support in the installation of hardscape features such as walkways, patios, or retaining walls.
Perform heavy lifting tasks safely while maintaining proper posture and technique during material handling.
Collaborate with carpenters, masons, welders, and other tradespeople to ensure cohesive project progress.
Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris regularly.
Follow safety protocols diligently to prevent accidents on the construction site.
Qualifications
Prior experience working on construction sites with concrete or related trades is highly preferred.
Knowledge of construction estimating processes is a plus for understanding project scope and materials needed.
Familiarity with various hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment operation, and safety procedures is essential.
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
Mechanical knowledge related to concrete mixers, pumps, formwork systems, and finishing equipment.
Strong physical stamina with the ability to perform heavy lifting and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Basic carpentry skills such as framing or trim carpentry are advantageous but not mandatory.
