About the Opportunity A Publicly Traded Transportation Company is looking for a lawyer with 7+ years' experience for a 5-6 month engagement starting mid May 2026 . The work will involve supporting the company's legal team on a broad range of corporate and securities matters . This is a high-impact role advising senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders in a fast-paced, public company environment. Key Responsibilities Lead and support corporate and securities matters, including SEC compliance and filings such as 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, proxy statements, and Section 16 reporting Advise on corporate governance, board and committee matters, and stockholder issues Support Nasdaq compliance, earnings releases, and insider trading programs Provide counsel on M&A, corporate structuring, subsidiary management, and equity administration Partner with internal stakeholders to assess risk and drive practical, business-oriented solutions Contribute to the development and improvement of legal processes to support company growth and scalability Assist on cross-functional legal and business initiatives as needed Qualifications 7+ years of experience in corporate and securities law Minimum 3 years at a top-tier law firm required In-house experience at a public company strongly preferred Active bar membership in good standing, California preferred or eligible for in-house registration Experience with compensation and benefits, tax, sustainability, or governance matters is a plus Location : Remote (California Bar License/CA in-house eligible) Schedule : Full-time Required Candidates must be able to work full-time. The work will be performed remotely. Company's preferred pricing model is weekly with a budget of $4,000 - $4,500 per week. Company is open to exploring options outside of this range with the requisite experience. Candidates will be employed through an Employer of Record (W-2) for the duration of the engagement.
