School Nurse - Christ the King

Christ the King Catholic School is seeking a full-time School Nurse for the 2026-2027 school year. Candidates should be able to fulfill the following essential duties and responsibilities:Specific Job DutiesClinic TriageReview Renweb for students that do and do not have permission to treatAssess students as they present to the clinic and administer first aid as neededAdminister OTC meds as per documented parental consentAdminister Prescription medications as per documented Doctors order and Parental consentReview expiration dates and contact parents as neededCall parents on all head injuries and all EC4 and K visitsUse judgement about calling parents on other student visitsOrder supplies as needed to restock clinicTeacher SupportCollaborate with school counselors and with teachers about student patterns of clinic visitsCreate, review, update and distribute care plans for students with medical diagnoses and/or allergiesPrepare medical bags for all field trips to include Prescription and emergency medications for students with medical diagnoses and/or allergies and boo-boo bagsProvide teachers with a small supply of first aid materials for classroom useCoordinate and schedule CPR recertificationHealth and SafetyCheck AEDs monthly for battery and expiration dates on padsOrder replacement AED pads 1 month prior to expiration dateOrder supplies as needed to restock clinicInitiate accident reports and forward to AdministrationTrack attendance doctors note/parent contact after 3 absencesTrack illness (Covid, Flu, Strep)Count controlled medications (with parent or second staff member) and document the number of tablets provided by parent.Collect health forms for EC4 and new students; Review health forms for K and 7th grades (report to FDOH due October 1st)Coordinate and schedule Flu shotsSchedule and assist FDOH nurse with Scoliosis screeningCatholic FaithIntegrate faith and prayer in both private and professional lifeLive the commitment to Gospel values and Catholic teachingsMaintain required catechetical certificationsFoster the development of the faith of the students both inside and out of the classroomBe committed to personal and spiritual growth for self and othersCore ValuesThe following Core Values will guide decisions and actions to actively cultivate a Salesian culture with colleagues, students, and parents:Faith-filledJoyfulProfessionalEngagedCompassionateProfessional ResponsibilitiesSupport and contribute to the mission of the schoolSupport and implement Diocesan/school policies and practicesEngage in opportunities to grow professionally that are aligned with their personal, school, and diocesan professional development plansMaintain positive and productive professional relationships with all colleagues.Maintain positive, productive and professional relationships with all parents/legal guardians.Maintain positive, productive and professional relationships with all students.Ideal candidates should possess strong collaboration and communication skills.
