Senior Construction Project Manager
Knickerbocker Group is seeking an experienced and thoughtful Senior Construction Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of complex, high-end residential projects while providing an exceptional client experience.This is a leadership role for someone who combines deep construction expertise with strong communication, sound judgment, and a collaborative mindset. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in building trust, leading teams, and navigating complex projects with confidence and integrity.What You'll DoLead Client Experience & Team CollaborationServe as a primary point of contact for clients, ensuring a high level of service, responsiveness, and transparency throughout the project lifecycleBuild strong, trust-based relationships and guide clients through decisions, challenges, and changes with professionalism and sound judgmentLead project and client meetings, ensuring alignment across all stakeholdersCollaborate closely with Architecture, Interiors, Landscape Architecture, and field teams to support an integrated design-build approachFoster a collaborative, solutions-oriented environment across internal teams and external partnersMentor and support project team members, helping to strengthen project performance and professional growthDrive Project Leadership & ExecutionLead multiple complex construction projects from pre-construction through closeoutEstablish and maintain project plans, including schedules, milestones, and resource coordinationMonitor project performance across schedule, budget, quality, and safety, and guide the team in addressing risks and challengesConduct regular site visits to ensure project progress, quality, and overall job site conditions align with expectationsMaintain accountability for overall project outcomes, including client experienceGuide Planning, Financials & Project StrategyPartner with clients and design teams early in the project lifecycle to define scope, schedule, budget, and project goalsReview drawings and specifications to identify constructability considerations and cost impactsOversee estimating, budgeting, and procurement planning to align design intent with executionManage project budgets, contracts, and financial performance throughout the lifecycleOversee subcontractor and vendor engagement, including bid review, negotiation, and contract executionPartner with internal teams to ensure accurate financial tracking and reportingWhat You Bring10+ years of construction project management experience, including significant experience with high-end residential projectsBachelor's Degree in Construction Management or related field preferredProven ability to lead complex projects with multiple stakeholdersStrong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skillsHigh level of emotional intelligence, with the ability to navigate client relationships and team dynamics effectivelySolid financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and contract managementStrong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and project documentationProficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Microsoft Project, Procore, Acumatica, and/or Revit is a plusValid driver's license requiredWhy Knickerbocker Group?As a 100% employee-owned company, Knickerbocker Group is built on a shared commitment to craftsmanship, collaboration, and community.
