Job SummaryThe Logistics Administrator is responsible for supporting daily transportation operations by coordinating freight movements, managing customer and carrier purchase orders, tracking shipments, and auditing freight invoices. This role ensures accurate data entry, effective communication with internal teams and third‑party carriers, and timely execution of transportation activities while maintaining cost control and compliance.Key ResponsibilitiesObtain and manage customer purchase orders (POs) on a per‑load or per‑project basisCreate and issue internal carrier POs and distribute them to assigned carriersUses computer systems and transportation management software to perform accurate data entry related to shipments, carriers, rates, and documentationExecute tracking and tracing of in‑transit shipments to ensure on‑time deliveryAssist with the coordination of daily transportation activities, including load scheduling and carrier communicationMaintain a third‑party carrier invoice audit tool to:Log freight costsDocument discrepancies and exceptionsAudit carrier invoices for accuracy prior to approvalCommunicate shipment status, exceptions, and delays to internal stakeholdersResolve basic carrier and billing issues in a timely mannerSupport continuous improvement efforts related to transportation processes and documentationMaintain organized and accurate transportation records in company systemsQualificationsRequired:High school diploma or equivalent1–3 years of experience in transportation, logistics, freight coordination, or a related fieldStrong data entry and administrative skills with high attention to detailFamiliarity with transportation documentation, purchase orders, and freight invoicesAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environmentStrong communication and organizational skillsPreferredExperience working with third‑party carriers or 3PLsExperience using transportation management systems (TMS) or freight audit toolsSkills & CompetenciesTransportation and logistics coordinationAttention to detail and accuracyTime management and task prioritizationProblem solving and issue resolutionProficiency with Microsoft Office or similar systems Clear written and verbal communication Strong customer service skills
