Overview
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Manager to lead mechanical maintenance operations for our tissue manufacturing facility. this role provides leadership and technical direction to the mechanical maintenance team while supporting equipment reliability, safe mill operations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
The Mechanical Maintenance Manager oversees maintenance for both the Fiber Recycling Plant (FRP) and Tissue Mill, working closely with operations leadership and the Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Manager to support efficient production.
Duties
Lead and supervise mechanical maintenance technicians and contractors
Oversee mechanical maintenance operations for the FRP and Tissue Mill
Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical equipment failures
Support maintenance of rotating equipment, pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, hydraulic systems, and heavy process equipment
Develop and manage preventative and predictive maintenance programs
Utilize CMMS systems to track maintenance work orders and planning
Coordinate closely with operations leadership and maintenance teams to reduce downtime
Lead planning and execution of mill outages and shutdowns
Support maintenance budgets and capital maintenance projects
Promote and maintain a strong safety culture within the maintenance organization
Experience
Bachelor's Degree OR 10+ years of industrial manufacturing experience
5+ years of maintenance leadership or supervisory experience
Experience supporting mechanical maintenance and reliability programs
Strong knowledge of rotating equipment, pumps, hydraulics, conveyors, and industrial machinery
Experience implementing preventative and predictive maintenance programs
Experience using CMMS maintenance systems
Experience in paper, pulp & paper, tissue manufacturing, or heavy industrial operations preferred
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
