DKW is currently looking for a Hardware Engineer to support our team. The individual hired for this position will provide support for our government customers located in Camp Pendleton, CA. This is an onsite position.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
DKW is seeking a hands-on Hardware Engineer/Technician to support the design, integration, and troubleshooting of simulator hardware systems.
Design custom cable assemblies (pinouts, signal routing, connectors)
Build and test cables per engineering drawings and specifications
Assemble and integrate server racks (power, networking, hardware layout)
Design and implement DAQ / I/O systems for simulator interfaces
Build, wire, and validate I/O systems (analog, digital, discrete signals)
Generate hardware specifications and interface documentation for system components
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware/system integration issues
Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and interface control documents (ICDs)
Qualifications/Requirements
An active DoD Secret security clearance will be required to start.
B.S. in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
Experience with cable fabrication and wiring (crimping, soldering, harnessing)
Ability to read and work from electrical diagrams and pinout documentation
Hands-on experience with hardware integration and debugging
Familiarity with test equipment (multimeter, continuity tester, etc.)
IAT Level I certification preferred; if not, must be obtained within 6 months of hire.

Pay: Up to $120,000.00 per year
