Candidates who meet the minimum requirements of the role will start at entry in the range. Any additional skills, experience, and education will be reflected in the compensation offered.Main Duties & ResponsibilitiesAssist patients with Medicaid, Marketplace, Medicare, Medicare Advantage, and Sliding Fee Scale applications, including education, accuracy review, and authorized‑representative submissions.Schedule and manage enrollment/eligibility appointments; handle Patient Benefit Line inquiries; complete insurance verification and resolve coverage issues.Conduct outreach via phone, Epic in‑basket, email, and Artera texting to support MCO alignment, Medicaid renewals, and re‑engagement in primary care.Document all patient interactions in Epic, close communication loops, escalate systemic issues, and collaborate with internal teams.Maintain required certifications, stay current on public coverage rules, protect PHI, and participate in meetings and events as needed.Performs other duties as assigned.QualificationsSkills and KnowledgeExceptional customer service skillsExcellent organizational skillsExcellent oral and written communicationBilingual fluency (English/Spanish) a plus.ExperienceExperience in utilizing a computer and experience in Microsoft Office products is required.One year of experience in the healthcare field is preferred.EducationHigh school diploma or equivalent required.Associate degree, some college, or bachelor’s degree a plus.The Erie Advantage PledgeWorking Together For What Matters MostErie makes a pledge that all current and future employees can feel confident that:Our mission, vision, and values unite us.Our voices matter.We do things well.Our inclusive culture promotes balance and belonging.We find our career sweet spot at Erie.
