Inside Sales Representative

The Inside Sales Representative provides support for fluid power and/or automation and/or motion control products. This position is eligible for telecommuting after a successful training period. Certain criteria must be met to retain telecommuting status. The employee reports to the Inside Sales Manager.Responsibilities:Respond to customer inquiries pertaining to products, services, prices, availability, and/or order status via email, phone, and websiteAssist and advise customers in the selection of the appropriate product(s) and/or service(s) based upon the customer’s requirementsEngage vendors to procure materials and expedite shipmentsPrepare quotations, process orders and manage existing orders on the online platform first and foremost and internal business systems only when necessaryWork with all other departments to coordinate and assure customer requirements, and expectations are fulfilled, and conflicts are resolved to the satisfaction of the customerSupport, interact, and work in tandem with members of the outside sales team to build and retain customer relationsMake pricing decisions on demand when communicating with customers; responsible for communicating with pricing teams to maintain accurate information within each customer account in the business systemPerform other related duties and assignments as directed by management and as listed in SOPRequirements:4-year degree or equivalent work experience preferredPrevious experience in fluid power, industrial, or electrical distribution preferredKnowledge of fluid power and/or automation and/or motion control products is strongly preferredDemonstrated ability to understand technical conceptsPrevious success in inside sales and/or experience in a technical support role is preferredExperience in purchasing manufacturing or technical products is a plusExcellent telephone personality with proven ability to maintain customer relationshipsERP, Epicor P21 and B2B experience is preferredHighly proficient level of computer skills including MS Word, Excel, and OutlookExcellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skillsCapable of handling multiple high-pressure tasksAbility to work in a fast-paced and self-directed environmentSome occasional travel may be required for customer visits and training purposes
