Fabricator
Role Description:
Fabricator is responsible for the fabrication and maintenance of metal forms for the production of precast structures.
General Responsibilities and Duties:
With direction from Plant Manager, will be responsible for fabricating forms from supplied blueprints and part kits.
Maintain all steel precast forms in good working order and repair as needed.
Troubleshooting & repairing equipment used in the precast concrete industry.
Assisting maintenance in the installation and removal of production equipment and any necessary facility repairs as needed.
Promote and maintain a clean and organized area that is orderly, safe, and easily accessible to staff, supplies, customers, and visitors.
Maintain steel material in inventory that is used for fabrication/repairs of steel forms.
Continually look ahead at work required and communicate any possible inventory shortages with Plant Manager.
Accurately fill out paperwork for services on forms & equipment. Utilize safety equipment and abide by safety practices that are required by law and/or the company.
Report all safety related issues to supervisor immediately.
To ensure efficient operations, complete and submit in a timely manner, all necessary department and personnel forms appropriate for given situations.
Attend and participate in assigned company sponsored meetings and/or training sessions.
Observe all company policies and regulations.
Complete or assist with various other duties as assigned by management

Required Skills/Abilities:
Eligible to work in the U.S
Reliable transportation to get you back and forth to work
Flexibility to work 40+ hours per week
Ability to read basic blueprints
Competent metal fabrication skills using various equipment including but not limited too welders, torches, saws, etc.
Mature, dependable, and self-motivated with good communication skills
Forklift certified or willingness to become certified
Physical Requirements:
Standing, sitting, bending, stooping for extended periods of time
Exposure to fluctuating weather conditions including extreme cold or heat
Must be in good physical health, ability to lift 75 pounds
Education and Experience:
3+ years fabrication experience preferred
Prior precast experience is a plus

Schedule:
40 hour per week, Monday through Friday. Overtime & weekends may be required
Pay Range: Hourly,Dependent upon experience
