Senior Full-Stack Developer

Job DescriptionWe’re a rapidly growing digital tech agency based in the Lower East Side of NYC that partners with innovative startups & Fortune 500 companies to develop gorgeous, data-driven products. As our agency continues to expand, we’re looking for a Senior Full-Stack Developer to lead their team through projects that include applications, websites, and email programs for clients & internal projects. This role is for both a doer and a leader.What You’ll DoGrow and lead a team of back-end and front-end engineersDevelop UI/UX for websites, dashboards, applications, and email campaignsConfigure, deploy and manage secure web application infrastructureWork with cross-functional team leads to scope, qualify, and prioritize production needs, including close collaboration with designers to interpret UI and animation requirements into codeEvolve, document, and implement Engineering & QA processes and automations to ensure back-end and front-end requirements are consistently metResearch & advise on technologies and tools that will be used for new projects, in conjunction with the Creative Director and Operations TeamBuild CI/CD pipelines (GitHub, GitLab)Bring visuals provided by the design team to life using the latest frameworks and librariesMust-Have ExperienceFront-End: React, Angular, HTML, CSS, SaSS, Javascript ES6, jQueryBack-End: Relational & non-relational databases (i.e. PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB), web server configuration (DigitalOcean, AWS), architecting APIsStarting projects both from scratch and taking over or refactoring existing codebases, based on project needsClear communication skills with the ability to thoughtfully engage with the Development, Leadership, and Client teams to proactively plan and manage projectsThorough knowledge of development best practices and tools such as Continuous Integration, GitLab, and TDD/BDDOrganized self-starter, sensitive to deadlinesPassionate teacher and learnerThe Ideal Candidate Would Have This ExperienceFront-End: Angular, Tailwind, Netlify, Contentful, Google Lighthouse (or similar)Back-End: WordPress, Shopify, PHP, Ruby on Rails, MySQL, Postgres, GraphQL, Docker, Salesforce/AMPscript/Emails, Firebase, LetsEncryptWorking within both more structured and informal digital product or agency environments, working with in-house design teams and FigmaKnowledge of website optimization, and accessibility guidelinesWorking With UsIn general, you’ll be working on 2-3 projects at any given time; typically one a larger ongoing build and a few smaller projects to keep things fresh.
