Senior Electrical Engineer (Power System Design)Location: Dallas/Austin, Texas, United StatesJob Type: Full-time / Permanent (Hybrid working)Salary $150,000-$200,000Role OverviewWe are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer – Design to support the delivery of mission-critical power infrastructure across data centers, industrial facilities, and large-scale energy environments.This is a hands-on design role where you will take ownership of complex electrical engineering challenges from concept through to execution, working closely with customers, internal engineering teams, and manufacturing functions to deliver high-impact, high-reliability solutions.You will play a key role in shaping electrical design standards, supporting project delivery, and contributing directly to winning new business through early-stage technical input.Key ResponsibilitiesLead electrical design for mission-critical power systems (LV–MV)Produce single-line diagrams, schematics, equipment layouts, and technical specificationsSupport and lead multiple concurrent projects (up to ~15 at a time)Work directly with customers to develop, refine, and validate engineering solutionsContribute to early-stage design input to support bid and proposal activityCollaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure design intent is delivered into productionProvide technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineersEnsure designs meet safety, performance, and compliance standardsSupport continuous improvement of engineering processes and design standardsRequirementsStrong experience in electrical design within mission-critical environments such as:Data centresPower plantsHospitalsAirportsIndustrial or manufacturing facilitiesAbility to independently design electrical systems (not just review or redline work)Experience with LV–MV power distribution systemsProficiency in design tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks (or equivalent)Knowledge of protection and coordination systems (SEL relay experience advantageous)Strong client-facing communication skillsAbility to manage multiple complex projects simultaneouslyStrong problem-solving ability with a proactive, delivery-focused mindsetWhat Makes This Role DifferentHigh ownership from concept through to executionDirect customer interaction and solution developmentFast-paced delivery environment with rapid turnaround expectationsReal influence on major infrastructure projects and business growthOpportunity to shape engineering capability within a scaling organisationWhat’s on OfferOpportunity to work on large-scale mission-critical projects ($1M–$200M+)Hybrid working environmentCareer progression into senior technical or leadership pathwaysExposure to cutting-edge power infrastructure designHigh-impact role within a fast-growing engineering business
