Grand Forks Human Service Zone is hiring a CPS Case Manager in Grand Forks, North DakotaGrand Forks Human Service Zone is seeking a dedicated and passionate CPS Case Manager for the Child Welfare/Family Services Team to support Child Welfare Services. Our mission is to serve children and families by providing advocacy, resources, and education while promoting stability and community connections.CPS Case Manager duties include but are not limited to: Assess and investigate reports of child abuse and neglect while ensuring compliance with policies, best practices, and emergency intervention proceduresAccurately document case details and connect families to essential servicesCollaborate with service providers, law enforcement, and legal entitiesPrepare for and testify in court proceedingsMaintain flexibility with on-call scheduling and non-traditional working hoursTo succeed in this position, you must have a passion for serving others and a commitment to making a positive impact. Strong organizational and time management skills are essential, along with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations. A thorough understanding of program policies and laws is required, as well as proficiency in various software and database applications with a willingness to learn new technology. Attention to detail, strong decision-making abilities, and strict adherence to state and federal regulations are critical.To be considered for this position, you must have a bachelor's degree in one of the following areas: social work, psychology, sociology, counseling, human development, education, human services, child development and family science, behavioral health, nursing (bachelor level degree) or criminal justice. Plus, one of the following:Family Service Specialist III (SC7005)Two (2) years of professional work experience as a social worker, child protective service worker, or professional case managerA master's degree may substitute for one (1) year of the work experience requirementFamily Services Specialist II (SC7004)One (1) year of professional work experience as a social worker, child protective service worker, or professional case managerA master's degree in one of the above areas may substitute for the work experience requirementFamily Services Specialist I (SC7004)No work experience requiredA bachelor's degree as mentioned abovePhysical Requirements: This position requires the ability to perform essential physical functions of the job, including lifting and carrying items weighing up to 50 pounds on a regular basis. Team members must be able to bend, stoop, sit, stand, and remain in stationary positions for extended periods of time.
