Part Time - Systems Engineer Co-Op

Job Description: Analyze and define how the system works creating use casesDecompose requirements, define system interfaces and help determine how requirements will be validated and verified by the test teamSupport planning and execution of Integration, Verification, or Flight Test activities in our labs, in the field, or at a test rangeSupport qualification of our productsSupport troubleshooting and failure data analyses, including root cause and corrective action processes and advanced use of lab or field test equipmentComplete and compile detailed performance evaluations, including the use of analysis tools, such as MATLABPrepare and present results in reports and briefings to internal or external stakeholdersSupport and attend technical reviews and technical interchanges in support of the programBe a self-starter and work well with minimum supervisionRequirements: Enrolled in a Bachelor's or Masters's of Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) degree program with an expected graduation date of May 2027 or August 2027Academic or internship experience that included hands-on testing of electronic equipmentExposure to troubleshooting technical issues with electronics in an academic or internship setting, or as part of a hobbyExposure to data analysis using tools such as MATLABSpecific majors: Systems Engineering or related scientific or STEM discipline3.00 cumulative GPA or higherProficient use of both Windows and UNIX platformExperience with Perl, Python, VBA, and/or other scripting languagesExposure to Agile Development PrinciplesKnowledge of the Microsoft Office suitePrevious internship experienceAbility to analyze issues and define solutionsKnowledge of systems engineering lifecycle, roles and functionsProven strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilitiesBasic Engineering skills and interest in how systems are developed and functionAbility to multi-task in a fast-paced work environmentAbility to problem solve and seek out additional resourcesDemonstrated ability to work effectively with others (or coworkers).Benefits: medicaldentalvisionlife insuranceshort-term disabilitylong-term disability401(k) matchflexible spending accountsflexible work schedulesemployee assistance programEmployee Scholar Programparental leavepaid time offholidays
