Customer Relations Specialist - Des Moines, IA The Customer Relations Specialist will provide administrative support and provide excellent customer service to our customers.Hours and WagesMonday-Friday, 8:00AM-5:00PMStarting Wage: $22.00-$24.00 per hour, based on experienceDuties and ResponsibilitiesProvide support to specialized accounts to ensure high level of customer satisfactionRespond to sales department inquiries, emails, and phone callsSupport existing and new customers regarding services, quotes, etc.Assist with distributing mass mailings and sending out information packets to potential customersField prospective customer calls and follow-up calls with the goal of obtaining new customersUpdate customer account information and enter new shipping accounts into system to ensure correct billing recordsCompile monthly sales spreadsheets for analysis by managementPerform other related duties as assignedProvide dedicated support to key shippers within the regionSkills and AbilitiesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong organizational skills and attention to detailExcellent customer serviceProficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related sales programEducation and ExperienceAt least 18 years of ageHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredSales and/or Marketing experience preferredPhysical RequirementsProlonged periods of sitting at a desk, working on a computer, and answering the phoneMust be able to lift up to 15 pounds at timesAbility to work with all types to freight which include, but are not limited to hazardous material, perishable food and alcohol, firearms, ammunition, and live animalsBenefitsHealth Insurance, Dental Insurance, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off (PTO), Employee Assistance Program, 401(k) Plan, Quarterly Bonuses, and more.EEO and Affirmative Action StatementSpee Dee Delivery Service, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
