Primary responsibility of the Quality Control Inspector includes; inspection, monitoring, coordinating and compliance to the quality control program for all work performed by operations and maintenance staff consisting of all electrical, mechanical, HVAC equipment and associated systems (including, PM's and service work orders), alterations and repairs, and subcontractors to ensure that all requirements as specified in the Quality Control Program are achieved. The ideal EMI Quality Control Inspector has experience/training in electrical, mechanical, and HVAC/BAS control systems.SalaryStarting at $65,000 (DOE) plus employer paid insurance!See ALL the fantastic benefits you receive as an employee of EMI below!!Click here to follow EMI Services on Facebook Key ResponsibilitiesExamine any of a variety of goods, services or operations for conformity to established quality, health, safety, legal, business, ethical or other standardsVerify that established standards are maintained relative to such matters as transportation methods; building and facilities maintenance and repair servicesVerify that permits or licenses have been obtained and are displayedConfer with officials, interpret regulations and codes and assist establishments in altering methods and practices to meet established standardsInvestigate complaints, prepare report findings and action taken or recommendedRecommend changes in standards, administrative procedures, facilities, methods and practicesInform QC Manager of all pertinent problems, irregularities, and other important information within area of responsibilityPerform other related duties as assignedRequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent2+ years of similar experience as well as experience or training in electrical, mechanical, and HVAC/BAS control systemsValid driver's license compliant with REAL ID Act or willing and able to obtain onePass a pre-employment drug screening and background checkU.S. citizenship to Obtain and maintain access to military installationsPreferred QualificationsBachelor's degree or equivalent amounts of training and experience is preferredPhysical RequirementsCarrying objects/boxes/print-outs short distancesExtensive work with a computerMay require lifting and moving as much as 50 pounds with assistance as neededUse of hands, reaching with hands and arms, talking, and walkingProlonged periods of sitting, bending, squatting, standing, twisting, or stoopingClimbing ladders and entering confined spacesWork both indoors and outdoors in various temperatures (some extreme) and weather conditionsPhysical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
