Instructional Designers Instructional Designers (10 FTEs)Work Arrangement: Remote (7am-4:00pm M-F)Worksite Address: 3500 Pennsy Dr, Landover, MD 20785 (Mandatory onsite training with occasional on-site meetings at Carmen Turner Facility in Landover, Maryland or other Metro facilities.)Agency Interview Type: Either Web Cam or In PersonEngagement Type: 1 Year initial Contract with a possible extra 2 Years extension on yearly basisNOTE: Applications with resumes in PDF Format will be automatically rejected. Only Word format resumes will be considered.Major Duties and Responsibilities:Design and Develop Instructional Content: Create engaging and effective learning materials, including presentations, handouts, CBT modules, and job aids, using established templates and design standards.Apply Instructional Design Principles: Develop content that aligns with adult learning theory and instructional best practices, ensuring clarity, accessibility, and learner engagement.Engage in Proactive Stakeholder Communication: Maintain regular communication with stakeholders to provide project updates, gather feedback, and ensure alignment with strategic training goals and operational needs.Manage Project Timelines and Milestones: Develop and maintain detailed project plans, track progress against key milestones, and address risks or delays to ensure timely delivery of training products.Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs): Work closely with SMEs to gather technical content, clarify complex information, and translate it into learner-friendly formats that meet training objectives.Review and Quality Assurance: Lead content reviews to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with learning goals, incorporating feedback from stakeholders.Contribute to Evaluation Efforts: Collect and organize learner feedback and assessment data to support the evaluation of training effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors degree in instructional design, education, or related field 3+ years of experience in instructional design Familiarity with adult learning theory and instructional technologies, including ADDIE Experience with technical training programs, with a preference for transit Knowledge and experience with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2 Experience with Learning Management System platforms and authoring tools including Adobe Captivate (Classic and/or New version) and InDesign Experience holding working sessions with SMEs.Preferred Qualifications: Project Management Certification (PMP or similar) Experience with transit technical training programs
