This role serves as a primary point of contact for customers by managing orders, resolving issues, and providing product guidance.In addition, the position supports customer outreach initiatives, including outbound sales calls to pool accounts (inactive or unassigned accounts designated for new business development) to generate revenue and expand the Supply Center's customer base.Key Responsibilities & ExpectationsDeliver a consistent, high-quality customer service experienceRespond to customer needs accurately, thoroughly, and in a timely mannerDevelop and maintain a working knowledge of products, services, and delivery capabilitiesAccurately enter customer orders and ensure proper documentationField and resolve customer questions, concerns, and issues professionallySupport customer engagement initiatives through outbound pool calls to accounts, as neededUtilize consultative communication to identify customer needs and recommend appropriate products or solutions when applicableEstablish, develop, and maintain positive customer relationshipsOperate in a safe manner and comply with all company safety policies and proceduresSupport Supply Center goals related to customer service, safety, and operational excellenceFollow all company policies and proceduresPerform additional duties as assigned by the Branch Manager in support of overall business objectives, including outbound pool account sales calls to generate new business for the Supply Center.Skill RequirementsStrong customer service and interpersonal skillsAbility to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environmentOrganized and detail-oriented with effective time management skillsProfessional, composed, and service-oriented under pressureClear written, verbal, and listening communication skillsComfortable engaging customers by phoneSelf-motivated with a positive attitudeAbility to learn and adapt to new technology and systemsEducation & ExperienceHigh School diploma, GED requiredCollege degree preferred2--5 years of experience in a retail, wholesale, or customer-facing environment with demonstrated success working with customersPreferred experience with a CRM, preferably SalesforceExperience with Microsoft Excel, Office, and OutlookGeneral knowledge of the building materials industry preferred, but not requiredWhen you join Alside, you are part of a leading exterior building products distribution business serving residential and commercial remodeling and new construction markets.
