BCforward will send official notice ahead of a confirmed start date.Expected Duration: 6 months, possible extension based on business needsJob Type: HybridUSC/GC/GCEAD/H4EAD/OPT EADPay Range: $75.00/hr.- $85/hr on w2Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.).Job Description:This is a senior development and technical leadership position responsible for designing and implementing scalable, secure, and resilient platform solutions within the Technology organization.The role will focus on building next-generation Agentic AI capabilities, Model Context Protocol (MCP) integrations, microservices, APIs, and event-driven architectures that support business-critical applications and AI-enabled workflows. The successful candidate will partner with business, architecture, data, infrastructure, and technology teams to deliver enterprise-grade solutions while ensuring strong controls, governance, and operational excellence.This role requires a hands-on technical leader with expertise in Python engineering, distributed systems, cloud-native architecture, API development, and AI orchestration frameworks.ResponsibilitiesAs a Lead Software Engineer, you will:Architect, design, and implement scalable Python-based platforms, services, and solutions.Lead the design and implementation of Agentic AI frameworks, AI orchestration patterns, and MCP-enabled integrations.Build and maintain highly available microservices-based architectures leveraging enterprise architecture standards.Design, develop, and manage RESTful APIs, event-driven services, and asynchronous processing frameworks.Drive adoption of event-driven patterns using messaging and streaming technologies such as Kafka, MQ, or equivalent platforms.Define technical standards and best practices for service architecture, API design, observability, resiliency, and security.Partner with architecture and infrastructure teams to establish scalable and reusable platform capabilities.Lead platform integration efforts across AI services, data platforms, workflow systems, and enterprise applications.Implement robust controls, governance, monitoring, auditing, and traceability frameworks for AI-enabled solutions.Ensure Agentic AI solutions comply with model governance, risk management, explainability, and operational control requirements.Drive implementation of CI/CD, automated testing, Infrastructure as Code, and DevSecOps practices.Resolve complex technology challenges through deep analysis of business processes, system design, and industry best practices.Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams globally.Review system designs and code to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture and engineering standards.Collaborate with business stakeholders, risk partners, and technology leadership to define strategic technology solutions.Assess technology risks, identify control gaps, and ensure compliance with enterprise technology policies and regulatory expectations.Support production stability, performance optimization, and platform modernization initiatives.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related STEM field.8+ years of software engineering experience with at least 5+ years developing enterprise Python solutions.Strong hands-on expertise in Python, FastAPI, Flask, REST APIs, and microservices development.Experience designing distributed, event-driven systems and asynchronous architectures.Experience building enterprise integration solutions using Kafka, MQ, Event Hubs, or similar messaging technologies.Experience with Agentic AI architectures, AI orchestration frameworks, MCP, and LLM-enabled applications.Strong understanding of software architecture, system design, scalability, resiliency, and security principles.Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevOps practices.Experience working with Linux, shell scripting, containers, and cloud-native environments.Strong stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.Preferred SkillsExperience with GenAI, LLM platforms, RAG architectures, AI agents, and prompt orchestration.Familiarity with AI governance, model risk management, controls, and auditability frameworks.Experience with Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker, and cloud platforms.Banking, risk management, regulatory, or financial services experience.Knowledge of capital markets and financial products.
