Lab Technician - 2nd Shift

Job Title: Lab Technician - 2nd ShiftJob DescriptionJoin our laboratory team as an entry-level Lab Technician, where you will be responsible for preparing samples with accuracy and precision in accordance with analytical SOPs. You will work independently and collaboratively to meet daily production targets, ensuring hold and turnaround times are met, while maintaining a safe working environment.Responsibilities+ Prepare samples for analysis using basic instrumentation according to analytical SOPs after appropriate training.+ Perform routine operations, maintenance, and calibration of preparation instruments and equipment.+ Assist with validation and MDL studies as needed.+ Input and maintain technical information to support laboratory functions and operations.+ Maintain a Laboratory Notebook where applicable.+ Adhere to internal standards, policies, and procedures.+ Perform other duties as required.+ For 2nd shift: manage sample intake, handling, weighing of soil samples, digestions, and monitoring of instrumentation.Essential Skills+ High school diploma required.+ Basic English language skills.+ Basic mathematical skills.+ Basic reasoning abilities.+ Basic computer skills.+ Ability to lift/carry/push/pull up to 25 lbs frequently.Additional Skills & Qualifications+ Associate's Degree in Chemistry or a similar scientific discipline preferred.+ 1-2 years of relevant experience in Analytical Chemistry Laboratories preferred.Work EnvironmentThis position is within a high-volume production-based environmental laboratory, serving clients with project-oriented and deadline-driven work. The role is for the 2nd shift, Monday to Friday from 3 pm to 12 pm, including a lunch break. Training will occur on the assigned shift, and there is an opportunity for uncapped overtime with supervisor approval.
