Mechanical/Thermal Design Engineer - CFD

If you are excited about working for a company that takes its job seriously and does not cut corners, you will have a home with Kronos.Position Summary:We are seeking a Mechanical/Thermal Engineer with experience in gas turbine engineering analysis, CFD, and heat transfer modeling. The ideal candidate will support the design and analysis of turbine blades and vanes, perform thermal and cooling analyses, and work with advanced CAD and simulation tools to develop high-performance aerospace components.Pay Rate: $40/hrKey ResponsibilitiesProvide design and analysis expertise for axial and radial turbine blades and vanes, with or without internal coolingApply knowledge of turbine cooling and durability principlesPerform mechanical engineering assignments involving heat transfer and secondary cooling flow analysesCreate, execute, and calibrate 2D and 3D transient conduction-convection thermal models using NX Thermal or equivalent softwareCreate and execute 3D conjugate heat transfer models using STAR-CCM+ or equivalent softwareUtilize advanced CAD skills to generate and manipulate turbine vane and blade component geometriesCommunicate technical results to internal and external customers and stakeholdersRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace EngineeringMaster's or PhD degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering preferredProficiency using STAR-CCM+ or other commercial thermal analysis toolsProficiency working with CAD models using NX or equivalent CAD softwareMinimum of 2 years of experience in gas turbine engineering analysisU.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident required due to export-controlled technologiesStrong written and verbal communication skillsCompany DescriptionKronos always provides our partners with 100% customer satisfaction and on time delivery.
