Provide guidance and be a source of information for operators and support groups in the area. This role follows an onsite work model, requiring employees to be in our local office at five days per week.Boston Scientific was recognized by Forbes as one of the Best Workplaces for Engineers in 2026, reflecting a culture where engineers do meaningful work.Boston Scientific was also recognized as a Glassdoor Best Place to Work in 2026, ranking No. 15 on the Top 100 list, reflecting the culture our employees experience every day.Your responsibilities will include:Roles and responsibilities will encompass tasks within the Integrated Circuits (IC) Test department, including wafer and chip-level testing.Assess process capabilities, prioritize process improvement opportunities, and innovate and implement process improvements on multiple and moderately complex processesApply technical knowledge to innovate, design, and develop processes, procedures, fixturing, and/or automationExecute the functional deliverables associated with PDP/TDP, Project Management, and Quality SystemsWrite clean and concise work instructions that can be understood by product buildersServe as a key resource or expert, participating in setting technical direction for the function and/or organizationOwn/contribute to technical reports, validations, and qualifications by capturing experimental resultsEnsure visibility and closure of process issues (e.g., yields, cost, capability, etc.) per PDP milestonesEvaluate external technologies and strategically identify opportunities to implement them internallyProvide on-going mentoring and technical guidance to managers, other engineers, technicians, and functional groupComplete proper documentation to meet quality systems requirements (e.g., BOM's, Routers, FMEA's, etc.)Write and review validation protocols and reports applicable to new processesServe as a key contributor and participant in technical reviews, preparing and presenting technical data and recommendations at technical and business reviewsPrepare and present technical data and recommendations at technical reviewsOversee development builds associated with the project using special work requestsDevelop and transfer qualified production lines to ManufacturingProvide Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Test (DFT) input to the engineering print packageContribute ideas to or generate Intellectual Property submissionsTrain and/or provide work direction to technicians and may train manufacturing personnel when required as part of a validationTrain, mentor, and/or provide work direction to early-career engineersMay serve as core team member or extended team member on new product projectsRequired qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Electrical EngineeringMinimum of 7 years of professional engineering experience relevant to this role, or minimum of 5 years of professional engineering experience relevant to this role with an advanced degreeExperience with schematic and circuit board layout (for example Altium, Cadence)Experience with Design Analysis Testing (DAT) and Design Verification Testing (DVT)Experience programming with Visual Basic, Python, C/C++, or related programming languagesIntegrated circuit testing experiencePreferred qualifications:Advanced degree in Electrical EngineeringSoftware and systems experience; equipment and fixturing designProcess Development experience; equipment validations and process characterization experienceWafer-level test and burn-in experienceExperience with IC failure diagnosticsAbility to translate theoretical and abstract ideas into meaningful innovationSemiconductor testing experience, for example Teradyne test systemsExperience with digital boundary scan, analog boundary scan, internal scan, LBIST, MBISTData driven individual; statistical analysis experiencePrior experience in medical device industry or similar highly-regulated industryDemonstrated use of Design for Six Sigma tools (Design of Experiments, problem solving)Highly motivated individual that can independently drive deliverables to completion through collaboration among team membersExperience in New Product DevelopmentDemonstrated ability to develop and drive innovative solutions into processes and productsDemonstrated understanding of problem solving and root cause investigationsTroubleshooting in combination with product yield and performanceExperience with mechanical designAbility to schedule out timelines with specific milestones to achieve and demonstrated successExperience with Process Verification and ValidationExpertise in Operations and/or New Product DevelopmentOpen to travel (domestic or international) up to 10% of timeRequisition ID: 625512Minimum Salary: $ 102100Maximum Salary: $ 194000The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) - see www.bscbenefitsconnect.com-will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role.
