We welcome candidates from the Minneapolis Metro and beyond to apply.Employees working in Wyoming, MN, have a short commute from Forest Lake, Lindstrom, East Bethel, Hugo, Centerville, and Andover, and will enjoy professional growth and community engagement through our regional presence in Minnesota, Wisconsin, North Dakota, and South Dakota.As a Mechanical Engineer, you will:Create and refine exploded views of assemblies using Creo and SolidWorks to support spare parts catalogs and technical product documentationInterpret complex CAD models, part files, and assemblies to identify components and ensure accurate visual representationReview, audit, and update Bills of Materials (BOMs) to ensure accuracy, completeness, and alignment with current production componentsCoordinate with procurement, operations, and engineering teams to verify part usage and resolve discrepancies between CAD models, BOMs, and documentationModify or update 3D CAD models using Creo or similar tools to reflect current configurations and engineering changesSupport ongoing BOM maintenance as designs, sourcing, or configurations evolveCollaborate with technical illustration and spare‑parts teams to ensure catalog content aligns with updated BOMs and engineering dataAssist with engineering change management, including data updates, documentation control, and cross‑functional coordinationMaintain and manage engineering data within PLM systems such as Windchill, ensuring version control and adherence to standardsResearch data quality issues, generate reports, and support cleanup and continuous improvement initiatives across engineering teamsParticipate in organizational projects, documentation updates, and engineering best‑practice developmentMaintain project documentation, including status reports and timelines, and communicate progress to stakeholdersWork collaboratively with suppliers and Applied partnersContribute to projects that impact communities in Forest Lake, Lindstrom, East Bethel, Hugo, Centerville, and Andover and the greater Minneapolis MetroApply your skills in a dynamic environment that values ownership and innovationQUALIFICATIONSBachelor of Science degree in Mechanical EngineeringExperience working with BOM structures, configuration management, and engineering change processesProficiency with Creo or similar CAD tools for assemblies, part updates, and configuration changesExperience with PLM systems such as Windchill for data management, version control, and documentation workflowsAbility to interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, technical documentation, and industry standardsStrong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and maintain accuracy in fast‑moving environmentsStrong collaboration skills with procurement, operations, engineering, and technical publications teamsAbility to identify data inconsistencies and support cleanup, reporting, and continuous improvement activitiesIntermediate computer skills, including spreadsheet use for data analysis and reportingStrong communication skills with the ability to facilitate engineering discussions, ask relevant questions, and support decision‑makingAbility to work independently with minimal supervision while contributing effectively in a team environmentESTIMATED PAY RANGEEngineer I: $34.62–$40.38/hourEngineer II: $38.46–$44.23/hourEngineer III: $43.27–$49.04/hourSenior Engineer: $46.63–$53.85/hourFinal compensation is based on experience, skills, and alignment with role expectations.
