Occupational Therapist - Acute

Travel Occupational TherapistTravel Occupational Therapist jobs in Highlands, North Carolina let you work across acute care, swing beds, nursing home, and skilled beds. You will perform physical therapy evaluations, establish plans of care, assist with rounds and care conferences, and communicate frequently with the rehab team about patient progress, equipment needs, and discharge planning. Treatment is provided in patient rooms, hallways, outdoor areas, and the rehab gym. Documentation is completed in Cerner and NetHealth systems. Required qualifications include experience in hospital and/or nursing home settings, CPR certification, and a valid North Carolina Occupational Therapy license. At least 3 years of experience in a medical setting is preferred. The rehab department includes PT, OT, and SLP staff, with a 1:1 patient ratio. Scheduling is 40 hours per week, with floating between acute, nursing home, and outpatient services as needed. Dress code is business casual or scrubs.
