Supported by multiple sister companies, the organization has built a strong reputation throughout the Chicagoland area and continues to expand its footprint with a healthy backlog of work.Rather than being siloed in a traditional accounting department, you'll work closely with Project Managers, Operations, and Executive Leadership, playing an important role in the financial success of projects from preconstruction through closeout.The company delivers a diverse portfolio of commercial, industrial, and interior construction projects, giving you exposure to a variety of project types and the opportunity to broaden your construction accounting experience.What You'll Be Doing:Manage project accounting throughout the entire project lifecycleMonitor job costs, budgets, commitments, and project profitabilityProcess owner billings, subcontractor invoices, and payment applicationsPrepare WIP reports, forecasts, and financial updatesPartner with Project Managers to track project performance and identify cost trendsAssist with month-end close and maintain accurate project financial recordsHelp improve financial processes and support continued company growthWhat They're Looking For:3+ years of Construction Accounting or Project Accounting experiencePrevious experience with a General Contractor or construction company preferredKnowledge of job costing, forecasting, billing, and WIP reportingStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple active projectsSomeone looking to build a long-term career with a growing organizationCompensation & Benefits:💰 $80K–$90K base salary + bonus potential🌴 Unlimited PTO (with a culture that encourages taking at least 15 days off each year)🏥 Comprehensive benefits package📈 Opportunity to grow alongside a company that's continuing to expand through multiple sister companies🤝 Collaborative team environment with direct exposure to operations and executive leadership🏗️ Stable pipeline of commercial construction projects and long-term career securityIf you're looking for a Construction Accountant opportunity where you'll have real visibility into project operations, opportunities for career growth, and the chance to make an impact within a growing construction company, I'd love to tell you more.
