Maintenance Mechanic (2nd Shift)
Maintenance Mechanic2nd Shift: 2:30 pm - 11 pm (Mon-Fri)The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining production and manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime. This role involves troubleshooting mechanical issues, performing preventive maintenance, and collaborating with production teams to support continuous operation. The Maintenance Mechanic will work hands-on with a variety of machinery.Functions and Responsibilities• Install, repair, and maintain production manufacturing equipment.• Inspect equipment for proper functioning and perform preventative maintenance duties, per manufacturer's specifications.• Diagnose basic equipment malfunctions and make repairs or adjustments efficiently.• Follow written instructions, sketches, and documents.• Use hand and power tools as required.• Perform all work in accordance with established standards and safety procedures.• Work under direct oversight.• And any other duties assigned to help drive to our vision, fulfill our commitments, and carry out our organization's virtues.Qualifications• 2-4 years of mechanic experienceMust have forklift certification and be proficient in moving large equipment.• Complete a formal training or apprenticeship program in a related field such as mechanical, facilities (carpentry, plumbing, and HVAC), electrical, electronic, pneumatic, or hydraulic systems, or have equivalent experience.• Requires general knowledge of codes and regulations related to equipment and facilities.• Knowledge of shop math and precision measuring equipment• Vacuum Furnace, CNC, PLC (Program Logic Computer), X-Ray experience preferred.Experienced mechanics in aerospace are preferred but not requiredPhysical Requirements• Performs physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and frequent movement of the whole body, such as climbing, lifting up to 50 pounds, balancing and handling of material.
