Candidate should live within driving distance of the following areas: Wichita, KS; Lawton OK; or Round Rock, TXJob Purpose/SummaryThe Project Manager owns the "When, How Much, and Clear the path" dimension of Knowmadics' product lines. In this role, you'll drive program success by overseeing schedule, budget, contract logistics, and sponsor relationships ensuring alignment between execution and product delivery. You will be accountable for program schedule, budget, contract logistics, and sponsor relationships, meant to serve as the structural counterweight to the CPTO organization's product vision.As part of the PMO organization, you'll operate with a high degree of ownership and independence, partnering closely with the Product, Engineering, and Finance leadership. You'll play a key role in guiding priorities, balancing scope, cost, and schedule, and helping teams make informed, strategic trade-offs that keep programs on track.This is a highly impactful position for a proactive leader who thrives on clarity, accountability, and delivering results in complex environments.Duties and ResponsibilitiesSchedule, Budget & Scope AuthorityLead integrated program planning across contract milestones and product releases.Guide scope decisions with a structured, transparent approach, ensuring alignment with both program goals and the product vision.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to balance priorities and optimize delivery outcomes. Partner with Finance to maintain accurate, forward-looking budget forecasts and proactively identify risks and opportunities.Contract Logistics & Sponsor ManagementServe as the primary point of contact for sponsors, fostering strong, trusted relationships.Provide clear, consistent communication on program status, milestones, and expectations.Coordinate sponsor requests with Product leadership to ensure thoughtful alignment with product strategy.Manage subcontractor relationships, performance, and deliverables.Support program operations including logistics, facility coordination, and compliance requests.Reporting & GovernanceDevelop and maintain executive-level dashboards highlighting progress, risks, and dependencies.Lead monthly Contract Reviews; participate in biweekly Product Syncs and Quarterly Planning; Ensuring alignment across teams.Partner with executive leadership to provide clear, actionable insights and recommendations.Cross-Program CoordinationTrack dependencies across the product portfolio through intentional knowledge share with other PMs.Contribute to resource planning and organizational prioritization. Support new contract pursuits and proposals with schedule and budget inputs.QualificationsRequired QualificationsBachelor's Degree5+ years managing complex, multi-stakeholder programs, with experience in a SaaS organization, a software R&D organization, government contracting, defense, or regulated-industry experience strongly preferred.Experience managing program budgets at the $1M+ program level.PMP, PgMP, or equivalent certification (or ability to obtain within 12 months).Fluency with basis of estimate construction, and contract structures (FFP, T&M, CPFF).Proven ability in managing sponsor relationships, including difficult renegotiations and descope conversations.Experience operating in cross-functional, matrixed environments.Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance (or currently cleared at Secret/TS level, depending on product line assignment); U.S. Citizenship required.Preferred QualificationsExperience in Agile/Scrum environments.Background in one or more of Knowmadics' emerging product domains: Space, C-UAS, Tactical Electronic Warfare, or geospatial intelligence and distributed sensor management.Subcontractor management experience, preferably in defense prime/sub relationships.Familiarity with hybrid delivery models that combine contract work with commercial product development.State the minimum qualifications required to successfully perform the job. Travel in support of business operations may also be required, and employees are expected to comply with these obligations as part of their position.Estimated Travel: 20-30% (sponsor sites, subcontractor facilities, and Knowmadics locations).Some evening/weekend work may be required based on program milestones, sponsor deadlines, or escalation events.Physical requirementsMay include sitting or standing for extended periods, working with computers and conferencing equipment, and occasional travel including air travel and driving to sponsor/subcontractor sites.Direct reportsNone
