We deliver safe, reliable energy to more than 1,200 communities.Our benefits include:Medical coverage on date of hire100% employer paid cash balance pension plan401(k) with company match fully vested on date of hireMinimum of 15 days paid vacation and 12 paid holidaysPaid parental leave and family caregiver leaveVisit our Benefits and Perks Page for more information on benefits provided to regular full-time employees.About The PositionThe GIS Analyst – Distribution is responsible for the development, maintenance, and management of the electric and/or gas distribution or transmission geospatial databases and applications, performing geospatial data analysis, creating various maps and other visualizations for incorporation into reports and or presentations and responding to assigned tasks and requests for information from a variety of parties.Key responsibilities include:Participate in the design, build, test and deployment phases of the GIS Upgrade ProjectProvide quality control with regard to data capture, data conversion and data evaluationProvide support in the management and maintenance of GIS environments and applicationsManipulate and analyze GIS data to create information products for GIS customer requestsDevelop and apply GIS solutions to meet customer requestsWork with GIS and IT resources to develop, maintain and enhance systemsAssist with setting GIS goals and objectivesCollect and organize data for visual representationDiagnose and troubleshoot problems with GIS and related softwareAssist in the development and delivery of training for system usersSubject to emergency call-out, including damage assessment/inspection during emergency storm restoration events with potential for considerable walking over rough terrain in all weather conditionsQualificationsBachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in GIS, Engineering, Engineering Technology, Information Technology or related technical field required. Technical Associates degree (e.g. Engineering Technology, Information Technology, CAD, GIS) with two or more years GIS or related experience may be considered in lieu of Bachelor's degree. Specific details will be provided to qualified candidates.Compensation Range:$60,600.00 - $90,900.00At Ameren, base salary is one component of a competitive compensation package for employees. Our pay ranges are broad to allow for movement within our organization and to accommodate different skill sets and levels of expertise. We take into consideration a variety of factors including, but not limited to, skills, abilities, experience, education, credentials, and internal equity when determining the base salary offered.
