Logistics Analyst

MUST BE A US CITIZEN AND HOLD A SECRET CLEARANCE Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Logistics Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in optimizing our supply chain processes, ensuring efficient transportation management, and improving overall logistics operations. This position requires strong skills in materials management, procurement, and process improvement to enhance our logistics strategies. Responsibilities - Analyze and improve logistics processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs. - Manage transportation operations, including negotiating with carriers and suppliers to secure favorable rates. - Utilize Transportation Management Systems (TMS) to track shipments and optimize routes. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and products. - Oversee inventory levels and coordinate with warehouse operations to maintain optimal stock levels. - Develop reports on logistics performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement. - Support MRP (Material Requirements Planning) initiatives by providing accurate data for procurement decisions. - Engage with Non-Vessel Operating Common Carriers (NVOCC) to facilitate international shipping processes. Requirements - Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. - Proven experience in logistics analysis or a similar role within the supply chain industry. - Strong understanding of transportation management principles and warehouse operations. - Proficiency in using logistics software and Transportation Management Systems (TMS). - Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and carriers. - Knowledge of materials management practices and procurement processes. - Ability to analyze data effectively and implement process improvements based on findings. - Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with attention to detail.
