We embrace and welcome that knowledge at all levels.ResponsibilitiesFollow agile development methodology and participate in agile ceremonies along with other team membersParticipate in the ongoing development and support of Starboard's supply chain productsMentor and lead other junior developersWork closely with other developers to ensure development meets requirements and delivers a great user experienceEnsure solutions that are developed are tested and meet quality and architecture standardsWork closely with the CTO to help drive and enhance the software architecture and user experienceTechnical Skills Needed6+ years experience in professional application and systems developmentContinuous, self learner of new and advancing technologiesDemonstrated experience in:delivering high quality, well designed and well implemented systemsdelivering robust, high-availability, performant systemssoftware architecture designuser interface and user experience design and developmentthe extensive use of several modern programming languagesExpert knowledge of both functional and object-oriented design patterns, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysisOther RequirementsExperience working as a member of a small, agile development teamExperience performing as a technical/developer lead who has also mentored junior engineersHas strong written and verbal communication skillsExceptional analytical aptitude and attention to detailCritical thinker with the ability to break down complex technical requirementsGood organizational and problem-solving skillsAbility to be self-directed, self-motivated, and a continuous learnerAbility to be innovative, have outside-the-box creativity and present alternative ideasEstablished portfolio of work and/or code samplesExperience with AWS Service suiteDesired but not RequiredExperience with user interface and user experience design and developmentExperience with Play Framework using ScalaExperience with Vue.jsExperience with databases including relational, graph databases and key storesExperience with Unix based operating systemsKnowledge of Supply Chain services, strategy, and processes is beneficialB.S. in Computer Science is nice but not required.
