Role Overview Located in Plainfield, IL, this Material Handler position is essential for maintaining seamless production workflows. You will be responsible for accurate documentation and ticketing while ensuring the workspace remains orderly and efficient. We are currently hiring for rotating 2-2-3 shifts, covering both day (7am to 7pm) and night (7pm to 7am) schedules, with compensation ranging between $21 and $22 per hour. Core Responsibilities Operate safely and efficiently to contribute to a high-speed production environment. Maintain a high level of precision and attention to detail in all tasks. Ensure that production packaging dunnage is always adequately stocked. Verify that all products are correctly labeled and documented. Manage the removal of filled totes or pallets, ensuring they are sealed, ticketed, and stored in the warehouse. Provide assistance to team members across the production floor as required. Uphold cleanliness and organization standards throughout the production area. Conduct routine safety checks on department forklifts and finalize all necessary logs. Organize and transport materials in strict adherence to FIFO inventory protocols. Supply raw materials to the production line as needed. Retrieve inventory, finalize shipping manifests, and load finished goods onto trailers for distribution. Process scrap and recyclable materials using grinders or bailers. Execute sorting or rework tasks when necessary. Follow established protocols to help ensure all products meet client specifications and quality standards. Support a culture of safety by following all company policies, maintaining housekeeping standards, and adhering to GMP and food safety guidelines. Required Qualifications Demonstrate solid experience and understanding of warehouse operations. Possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to read and write in English. Complete basic mathematical calculations accurately. Handle essential clerical duties, including the management of Bills of Lading. Maintain the physical ability to climb, sit, stand, and walk throughout your shift. Demonstrate the physical capacity to lift and maneuver loads up to 75 pounds. Eligible staff may also participate in our 401(k) plan, which features a company match of 100% on the first 3% of contributions and 50% on the next 2%, up to a 4% maximum. Eligibility requires one year of service, 1,000 hours worked, and a minimum age of 21, with enrollment opportunities on January 1st or July 1st. Furthermore, in accordance with the Illinois Paid Leave for All Workers Act, employees accrue one hour of paid leave for every 40 hours worked, up to 40 hours annually, with usage beginning 90 days after the start of employment.
