Service Engineer

Job DescriptionSurfx Technologies is a fast-growing company that offers atmospheric argon plasmas for the high-volume manufacturing of integrated circuits, semiconductor packages, printed circuit boards, and other microelectronic devices. These automated plasma machines are an excellent choice for surface cleaning, activation, and metal oxide removal. The Surfx Technologies team delivers this atmospheric argon plasma technology for assembled products that are less likely to corrode, delaminate, or come unglued during their lifetime. Our customers include the world's leading semiconductor manufacturers and technology companies.Our industry leading tools deliver fast, effective, damage-free and particle-free surface modification, employing our proprietary atmospheric pressure, argon plasma technology. Collaborating within the team, this role requires deep knowledge of mechatronics to design and develop innovative new products. The Service Engineer works closely with sales engineers, service engineers, process engineers and management to help Surfx gain a significant share of the semiconductor equipment industry.Position key responsibilitiesServe as the primary technical point of contact, providing world-class on-site supportEfficiently diagnose and service equipment ensuring a rapid turnaround time to minimize customer downtimeExecute comprehensive field service and preventative maintenance protocols at client facilities to ensure optimal equipment performance and reliabilityProactively manage the local inventory of spare parts, ensuring essential components are available for both scheduled maintenance and emergency repairsMeticulously document all technical interventions, repairs, and installations within our service management system ensuring data integrity and compliancePartner closely with the Sales team to provide technical insights and updates, ensuring a seamless customer experience and driving total client satisfactionExperience and qualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field; equivalent professional experience will also be considered0 to 5 years related experienceExperience in system-level troubleshooting across hardware, networking, and control systems, with hands-on skills in diagnosing and resolving complex issuesFamiliarity with manufacturing and production environments, with insight into how subsystems integrate into larger automated workflowsExceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively across software teams, hardware engineers, and external customersHighly detail-oriented, with strong documentation, organizational, and process-management capabilities to support scalable integration effortsWillingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally, including to Asia and Europe, to support global customer deployments and business operationsCompensation$70,000.00-$80,000.00 per year, commensurate with qualifications and experience.Working Conditions/Physical & Mental DemandsThe physical demands and working conditions described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
