Position SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Indirect Procurement Manager to lead and coordinate all critical indirect procurement projects globally. This strategic role requires a seasoned generalist who can independently identify opportunities and manage the complete procurement lifecycle from project identification through value delivery. The successful candidate will serve as the central point of excellence for global indirect category initiatives, working closely with regional teams and functional stakeholders to drive value creation and operational excellence across the organization.This is a hands-on leadership role requiring both strategic vision and tactical execution capabilities. The Manager must be comfortable operating across most indirect categories.Location: Yuma, AZ HeadquartersReports to: This position reports to: Head of Global ProcurementMatrix Reports: Regional Indirect Procurement ManagersKey ResponsibilitiesStrategic Project Leadership & End-to-End OwnershipProactively identify and prioritize high-impact indirect procurement opportunities through spend analysis, stakeholder engagement, and market intelligenceOwn the complete project lifecycle from opportunity identification through value delivery:Identify: Analyze spend data and business needs to uncover savings opportunitiesScope: Define project parameters, build business cases, and secure stakeholder buy-inSource: Develop sourcing strategies, conduct RFx processes, and evaluate proposalsNegotiate: Lead commercial negotiations and contract developmentImplement: Manage change management, transition planning, and go-live activitiesDeliver: Track savings realization and ensure sustained value captureLead major global indirect procurement projectsDevelop and execute category strategies for major indirect spend areas including Professional Services, Travel, MRO, Equipment and General Business Services.Cross-Functional CoordinationServe as the central coordinator between regional procurement teams, ensuring alignment on global contracts and leveraging combined purchasing powerPartner with functional leaders to understand requirements and deliver integrated procurement solutionsFacilitate knowledge sharing and best practice adoption across regional teamsValue Creation & Cost ManagementDeliver annual cost savings targets of 5-10% on managed spend categoriesIdentify and execute cost avoidance opportunities through demand management and specification optimizationImplement Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) models for strategic categoriesDrive working capital improvements through payment term optimizationSupplier Relationship ManagementDevelop and maintain relationships with strategic indirect suppliersLead complex negotiations for enterprise agreements and global contractsImplement supplier performance management scorecardsProcess ExcellenceStandardize indirect procurement processes and templates globallyImplement category management tools and reporting dashboards for indirectsRisk & Compliance ManagementEnsure compliance with corporate procurement policies and regulatory requirementsDevelop and implement supply risk mitigation strategies for critical indirect categoriesMaintain internal controls and audit readinessRequired QualificationsEducation & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related fieldMinimum 10 years of procurement experience with at least 5 years in indirect categoriesProven track record as an indirect procurement generalist with hands-on experience across multiple categoriesDemonstrated ability to independently manage complex projects from opportunity identification through savings deliveryExperience in manufacturing, chemicals, or agricultural industries preferredTrack record of self-directed project identification and deliveryTechnical CompetenciesExpert knowledge of strategic sourcing methodologies and category managementProven ability to work independently as a generalist across all indirect categoriesStrong project identification skills including spend analysis, opportunity assessment, and business case developmentHands-on experience with full procurement lifecycle executionExperience in procurement systems (SAP Ariba, Coupa, or similar) and advanced Excel skillsLeadership & Soft SkillsSelf-starter with proven ability to identify opportunities and drive initiatives without close supervisionExceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills across all organizational levelsStrong project management capabilities with ability to manage multiple complex initiativesExcellent negotiation and commercial acumenCultural sensitivity and ability to work effectively in a global, matrix organizationOutstanding communication and presentation skillsComfort with ambiguity and ability to create structure in undefined situationsTravel Requirements
