Substance Use Disorder Counselor

We are seeking a full-time Substance Use Disorder Counselor to provide assessment and counseling services to residents with a diagnosis of, or history of, a substance use disorder. As a member of our care team, you will be responsible for providing individual and group sessions, consultation, and educational training to staff.Splits duties between Webster Manor Rehab and Lanessa Extended Care. Salaried role with weekly pay. $26 to $30 an hour, depending on experience.Responsibilities:Provide direct services to residents through evaluations, screenings, crisis/emergency assessments, and individual and group therapyEvaluate resident's biopsychosocial needs and identify behaviors and barriers that interfere with medical rehabilitationFacilitate individual and group counseling and develop appropriate treatment plans to address substance use disordersParticipate in interdisciplinary care plan meetings and collaborate with doctors, insurance providers, and hospital networksMaintain client records and administrative records according to Athena's policyProvide orientation and ongoing in-service education to staff on the care and treatment of residents with substance use disordersAttend in-service education, clinical supervision, and professional meetings as requiredPerform risk assessments and develop treatment plans that are behaviorally oriented, measurable, and appropriate for the identified level of careRequirements:Bachelor's or master's degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or a related fieldPreferably licensed to practice in the State (LMHC/LICSW/LSW/ LMFT/ LADC-I)Experience in the area of treatment of clients with a substance use disorderBenefits:Competitive and Weekly PayHoliday Pay for Hourly and Salaried EmployeesOvertime Pay for Hourly EmployeesCareer Advancement OpportunitiesExclusive Employer Discount ProgramAvailable for Eligible Team Members:Employer Paid Life Insurance401(k) with Employer MatchVacation and Personal TimeHealth, Dental, and Vision InsuranceWe are an equal opportunity employer that values diversity at all levels.
