Machine / VHP Operator (2nd shift) Orangeburg, NY, United States | req27254 2nd shift What you will enjoy doing* You will operate and execute VHP cycles (evacuation, heating, pressing, and cooling) Assemble and align precision die sets and load raw materials Monitor vacuum integrity and hydraulic pressure throughout runs is part of your role Further, you will maintain detailed batch records and equipment logs for quality control Perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment, and be able to organize and perform housekeeping in the guidelines of 5S You will also support operations in other departments and operate equipment, including lathes, cutting and fabrication equipment, chemical refining, and bonding Participate in productivity projects to improve efficiency of operations What makes you great You possess a High School Diploma or GED and experience reading and understanding mechanical drawings is preferred Three to five (3-5) years of manufacturing experience required You should be familiar with vacuum and thermal systems Experience with troubleshooting and repairing equipment is required in this role Further strong mathematic skills are required in this role You must have the ability to work 2nd shift Mechanically inclined is preferred You should have proficiency in the use of all common machine shop equipment and tools and measuring devices In addition, you must have basic computer and math skills Why you will love working with us Linde Advanced Material Technologies, formerly Praxair Surface Technologies, is a company that revolutionizes industries through innovative materials and surface coatings.
