Engineering Technicians perform various tasks related to the development, operation, evaluation, and improvement of weapon systems and information systems.Responsibilities:Monitor flight maintenance events to support reliability and maintainability (R&M) assessments and metric reporting for the MQ-25 Stingray ProgramDocument maintenance repair timesAttend pre- and post-briefs for flights, data collection, input, and analysisProvide on-site support for flight test eventsTrack failures, identify trends, and document corrective actions within the NAVAIR Enterprise Failure Reporting and Corrective Action System (FRACAS) toolUpdate the FRACAS to include retrofit changes: Configuration and Part Number/Serial Number updatesSupport and attend meetings such as the R&M Review Board (RMRB)Review, analyze, or develop engineering, technical, or maintenance specifications, policies, standards, or proceduresOrganize, analyze, and prepare reports or presentations of technical data and informationPlan and perform tests and evaluations of systems equipment or componentsCompile, process, and analyze test data resultsOccasional travel to test sites to include, but not limited to, St. Louis/Mid-America, MO and Lakehurst, NJ to provide onsite supportRequired Qualifications:At least 3 years of general or practical experience in aircraft, weapons systems, or aircraft support equipment with relevant experience in aircraft operating principles, theory, skills, and maintenance of aircraft, aircraft systems and equipment, or ground support equipmentHigh school diploma or one of the following equivalents:Completion of a technical school, trade school, or advanced armed services technical school curriculum or course of training in electricity, electronics, avionics, mechanics, armaments, ordnance, or engineering technologyCompletion of at least 30 semester hours of course studies at an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical curriculumExperience in technical writing, including preparation of well-organized technical documents and reports that include significant analysis and discussion of the subject matter with pertinent conclusions and recommendations is applicablePreferred Qualifications:Former Department of Defense Aircraft technical/maintenance experienceExcellent verbal and written communications skillsAbility to use Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, Access, Outlook, and PowerPoint)Defense Acquisition experienceDAWIA certificationFamiliarity with NAVAIRINST 4790, Naval Aviation Maintenance Program (NAMP)Experience in the R&M fieldFamiliarity with failure tracking tools and concepts: C-FRACAS, Reliasoft, Crow-AMSAA modeling, Weibull analysis, etc.Work Authorization/Security Clearance:Must be a U.S. CitizenMust be qualified to obtain a Secret ClearanceBenefits and Compensation:401(k) plan with immediate 100% vesting and 4% discretionary matchPaid leave including PTO, holiday, bereavement, and militaryGenerous medical, dental, and vision insurance for employees and their familiesHealth and dependent care FSACompany-provided life/AD&D, as well as supplemental life and disability insuranceTRICARE SupplementEmployee Assistance ProgramTuition assistance and professional developmentBonus programsPay:$35.00-$58.00 per hourAAP/EEO StatementAndromeda Systems Incorporated is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
