Role Overview:
The Accounting Supervisor is a crucial member of the accounting department and will be expected to lead our accounts payable and accounts receivable team while developing and implementing process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the workflow in the department.
Responsibilities:
Supervise the daily operations of the accounts payable and accounts receivable team
Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing process
Manage journal entries, invoices etc. and reconcile accounts for the monthly or annual closing
Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting
Ensure that financial deadlines are met, and customer service is provided to both vendors and internal stakeholders
Oversee invoice data entry process and correct coding into SAP
Protect businesses against unintentional overpayment
Practice effective monitoring to ensure payments are made to vendors in a timely manner
Clarify any questionable invoice items, prices or approvals
Assist in the formulation of internal controls and policies to comply with legislation and established best practices
Collaborate with external auditors and manage internal controls.
Train and mentor junior staff
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
Strong knowledge of GAAP, and other accounting principles and procedures
Proficiency in using ERP systems (SAP preferred) and advanced skills in MS Excel including Vlookups and pivot tables
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $105,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
