NDT Inspector: Technical Lead

Your Challenge:Training & Qualification Support (Primary Focus)Support training, qualification, and certification of Level I and II personnelAssist in administering written, general, and practical examinationsProvide day-to-day coaching, mentorship, and technical guidance to techniciansTechnical Support to NDT OperationsProvide hands-on technical support for RT, CR, and PT inspectionsAssist with troubleshooting inspection issues, technique setup, and equipment operationSupport resolution of non-conformances and inspection discrepanciesProcedure & Technique SupportAssist in the development, revision, and improvement of NDT procedures and techniquesEnsure procedures align with applicable codes, specifications, and internal requirementsSupport implementation of new or revised inspection methodsEquipment & Process SupportSupport qualification, validation, and calibration of NDT equipment (RT/CR/PT)Assist in maintaining technique sheets, exposure charts, and system performance checksHelp ensure proper use, control, and care of NDT systems and materialsDocumentation & Records SupportMaintain training, certification, and technical documentationSupport accurate documentation of procedures, techniques, and inspection resultsEnsure records are complete, accurate, and traceableSupport to Responsible Level IIIExecute tasks as delegated by the Responsible Level IIIProvide technical input and feedback to support program effectivenessAct as a supporting technical resource within defined Level III authorityAdditional ResponsibilitiesPerform NDT inspections (RT, CR, PT), interpret results, and document findings in accordance with approved proceduresMaintain awareness of method capabilities and limitations, including applicable acceptance criteriaApply and interpret applicable codes, standards, and contractual requirementsProvide guidance and oversight to Level I and Level II personnel during inspection activitiesSupport internal audits, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement initiativesMaintain general knowledge of manufacturing processes and product inspection technologyEducation Requirements:High School Diploma, GED or equivalent is requiredMinimum Experience as Level II:No college / university: 4 years2-year degree (technical / engineering): 2 years4-year degree (science/engineering): 1 yearEqual Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with DisabilitiesThe contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
