A global resources organisation is seeking a Principal Engineer to play a key role in advancing processing performance through cutting-edge simulation and analysis.Please Note: Remote work is open to candidates in most U.S. states; however, applicants residing in New York, Kansas, South Carolina, California, Michigan, Connecticut, Oklahoma, North Carolina, Illinois, Kentucky, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts are not eligible for this arrangement.About the OpportunityThis is a high-impact role within a collaborative, safety-focused environment where innovation and technical excellence are valued. You’ll work alongside multidisciplinary teams across operations, engineering, and technical functions to drive smarter, more efficient processing outcomes.Flexible working arrangements are available, including remote options, with opportunities to engage in person when required.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, calibrate, and validate advanced mineral processing simulation models (e.g. comminution, flotation)Analyse plant performance data and ore characteristics to build predictive and reliable modelsUse simulation tools to support process optimisation, flowsheet design, and strategic planningIdentify opportunities to improve throughput, recovery, and operational stabilityIntegrate metallurgical test work and ore characterization data into modelling workflowsCollaborate with cross-functional teams including geology, metallurgy, and operationsCommunicate technical findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholdersAbout YouDegree in Metallurgical, Chemical, or related Engineering disciplineSignificant experience in mineral processing, with exposure to simulation and plant data analysisStrong understanding of processing theory and engineering principlesProven ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insightsConfident communicator with the ability to influence across teamsDesirable ExperienceAdvanced knowledge of simulation methodologiesExperience working with real plant data and metallurgical test workStrong background in extractive metallurgy or mineral processingWhat’s on OfferCompetitive salary and performance-based incentives (between 110 000 - 160 000 USD Gross Salary p/a)Comprehensive benefits package including healthcare and retirement contributionsOpportunities for career growth and technical developmentA supportive, safety-driven culture within a globally connected business
