Quality Assurance Specialist

Job Description Job Summary:The Quality Specialist is responsible for creating, reviewing, and submitting First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) in accordance with AS9102 standards. This role ensures all quality documentation complies with customer requirements, internal procedures, and aerospace industry standards. The specialist plays a key role in supporting continuous improvement and maintaining regulatory compliance throughout the manufacturing process.Key Responsibilities:Prepare and submit FAIRs per AS9102 requirementsReview manufacturing and inspection documentation for accuracy and completenessMaintain quality records, certifications, and traceability documentationCollaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to gather necessary dataSupport internal and external audits by organizing and providing required documentationEnsure compliance with customer specifications, drawings, and quality requirementsParticipate in root cause analysis and corrective actions when quality issues ariseQualifications:2+ years of experience in quality assurance or documentation within aerospace or a similar regulated industryProficient in AS9102 standards and FAIR preparationStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsExperience with quality management systems (QMS) and documentation controlFamiliarity with aerospace specifications and manufacturing processesProficient in Microsoft Office and inspection software (e.g., Net-Inspect, CMM reports)Preferred:Knowledge of ISO 9001/AS9100 standardsExperience working with defense or aerospace OEMs or Tier 1 suppliers
