Overview We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our dynamic healthcare team. Duties The successful candidate will be responsible for: Administering medications and injections, including phlebotomy procedures Conducting vital signs and documenting patient information Providing basic care to patients, including bathing, dressing, and toileting Assisting with spinal taps and other invasive procedures Applying sutures and staples Utilizing medical terminology to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals Familiarity with ophthalmology procedures and anatomy Experience working with children Proficiency with electronic health records (EHRs) and systems such as Athenahealth Maintaining a high level of knowledge of nursing standards and best practices Participating in quality improvement initiatives to ensure patient safety and satisfaction Skills Strong understanding of medical terminology and anatomy Ability to stand for long periods and perform physically demanding tasks Proficiency in phlebotomy and suture techniques Experience working in an ophthalmology setting Familiarity with electronic health records and healthcare systems Knowledge of nursing standards and best practices Ability to work effectively with children and families Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care Willingness to participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with industry developments Job Type: Contract Pay: $50.00 - $52.00 per hour License/Certification: BLS Certification (Required) LPN (Required) Ability to Commute: Camden, ME 04843 (Required) Work Location: In person
