Event Staff - Balloon and Streamer Decor Installer

Candidates must have weekday availability and able to work 15-30 hours per week. Occasional weekend work will be available. This is a very physical job, and requires a lot of standing, climbing ladders, bending and lifting. It also requires creative problem solving, and being cool under pressure because events don't always go perfectly according to plan!Our company is growing rapidly and we're looking to expand our team of motivated, responsible, creative, intelligent, and friendly contractors for event set ups.RESPONSIBILITIES:Preparing and executing balloon and streamer installations and various event styling details by following the direction of the Director of Operations.Our ideal candidate is:Willing to work at event venues all over the Austin areaCourteous and friendly at all timesExtremely organized, creative and great at problem-solvingA good team mateAble to hustle. Because of the nature of our business, perfect attendance is a must! We cannot tolerate tardiness or no-shows.Install and tear down balloons, streamers, backdrops and other decorAt least 18 years old and has a valid Texas driver’s license and reliable transportationA smart phone owner. We use them to operate communication apps and take great quality photos of workAble and willing to climb laddersAble and willing to drive the company truck (It's similar to a 15 foot Uhaul. We will train on this!)Able to lift 50 pounds without assistanceHOURS:We need staff that are available on weekdays with occasional weekend work.Hours will ebb and flow based on busy and slow event seasons.The rate of pay varies based on experience but starts at $18 per hour.
