QualificationsPOSITION PURPOSE: Manage and guide the day-to-day operations of the restaurants and outlets to meet and exceed profitability objectives. The Complex Front of House Manager is responsible for ensuring a positive guest experience for all guests and ensuring that employees are coached and motivated in a positive manner so that financial contributions to the restaurant and bar are maximized.Essential Functions Participates in generating an annual budget in conjunction with the Director of Food and Beverage that will meet the financial objectives. It is also the Food & Beverage Manager's responsibility to help meet budget in all areas of cost control with consistent focus on cost of sales and payroll. Regularly review and evaluate the degree of guest satisfaction of the food and beverage outlets Implement effective control of food, beverage, labor costs and operating expenses. Analyze operational problems, such as any theft and wastage, and establish procedures to alleviate these problems. Collaborate with other personnel to plan menus, serving arrangements, and related details. Manage and train staff in effective guest relations and hotel service culture to ensure the department provides a high level of customer service. Meet, greet and make guests feel welcomed,respond to all guest requests, problems, complaints and/or accidents presented through reservations, comment cards, letters, and/or phone calls, in an attentive, courteous and efficient manner. Follow up to ensure guest satisfaction. Ensure sequences of service, standards and expectations are consistently met by all employees and follow up with employees when these are not met. providing supervision and professional development, scheduling, conducting coaching, counseling and evaluations and delivering recognition and reward. Interview and make selection recommendations, ensure schedules are created and posted, ensure payroll is submitted in a timely manner according to the company policies. Ensure Human Resources responsibilities are fulfilled including understanding supporting all training requirements for staff.Qualifications/Requirements 2-3 years leadership experience in an upscale restaurant and bar environment, along with the associated quality and services expectations preferred Food and Beverage leadership experience within an upscale hotel preferred Strong detail orientation, ability to set priorities, multi-task and meet deadlines Basic computer skills; including restaurant and administrative systems Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent time management and organizational skills problem-solving skills, including the ability to problem solve without direct supervision. Demonstrated knowledge in wine and spirits Bachelor’s degree or Hotel Management program certificate; or minimum of two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. All other duties as assignedPhysical Demands/Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, kitchen equipment, or controls; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10-15 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25-50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to heat from the cooking equipment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
