Communications Designer

Robert Half is partnering with a well-established Chicago-based professional services organization to identify a Communications Design Specialist. This is an excellent opportunity for a creative, business-minded communications professional who enjoys partnering with executive stakeholders and bringing complex ideas to life through compelling visual communications.This is not a traditional graphic design role. We're looking for someone who can combine strong design skills with business acumen, confidently collaborate with senior leaders, and develop polished communications that support high-profile initiatives, conferences, and executive audiences.What You'll DoDesign executive-level PowerPoint presentations, visual storytelling materials, and presentation assets for leadership meetings, conferences, and organizational initiatives.Develop branded communications across email campaigns, newsletters, digital publications, websites, print collateral, and marketing materials.Create communications and visual assets supporting national conferences, educational programs, and member-facing events.Partner with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders to translate complex information into engaging, audience-focused communications.Help maintain and evolve the organization's visual identity while ensuring consistency across all communication channels.Manage multiple concurrent projects, balancing priorities and deadlines in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.Contribute ideas that elevate both the quality and effectiveness of communications across the organization.What We're Looking For5+ years of experience in communications, marketing, graphic design, or visual communications.Expert-level PowerPoint skills with experience creating polished executive presentations.Strong proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).Experience developing both digital and print communications in a corporate, professional services, association, legal, financial services, healthcare, or similarly professional environment.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate confidently with executives and other senior stakeholders.Strong project management skills and the ability to prioritize multiple initiatives simultaneously.A proactive, hands-on approach with the willingness to roll up your sleeves and own projects from concept through execution.The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $90,000.
