Job DescriptionDepartment: AccountingReports to: Accounting ManagerExempt Status: Non ExemptPosition Type: Part-timeSchedule: Monday–Friday, 20-25 hours per week, approximately 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 - 2:00 p.m.Job PurposeThe Accounts Receivable Specialist provides financial, administrative, and clerical support to ensure payments are received and recorded accurately and on time. This role is responsible for posting receipts, resolving discrepancies in accordance with established policies and procedures, and supporting high volume manual accounts receivable and collections activities. The position requires strong analytical skills and the ability to research, communicate, plan, and process work independently with confidence and sound daily decision making.Essential Job FunctionsManage daily lockbox processing and payment documentation Review ACH and check activity to ensure accuracyApply payments in NetSuite and maintain accounts receivable records and reporting Collaborate with the Admin team to resolve variances and payment issues Support audit requests and respond to accounts receivable inquiriesMinimum QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED required.2-3 years of experience in accounts receivable and/or general accounting.Intermediate to advanced skills and knowledge of Excel, as well as other Microsoft Office applicationsEffective verbal, listening, and written communication skills for interacting with customers and internal stakeholders.Strong analytical and problem solving skillsAbility to research and resolve discrepancies independentlyHigh attention to detail and accuracyStrong organizational and time management skillsExperience with NetSuite, bill.com, and Chase Access is preferredThe information contained herein is not intended to be an all-inclusive list of the duties and responsibilities of the job, nor are they intended to be an all-inclusive list of the skills and abilities required to do the job.
