Kennel Technician

We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Kennel Technician to join our veterinary team. The Kennel Technician provides basic animal care, maintains cleanliness throughout the facility, and assists the medical staff with handling and monitoring pets.ResponsibilitiesFeed, water, and monitor boarding and hospitalized animalsClean and disinfect kennels, cages, exam rooms, and treatment areasWalk dogs and provide exercise and enrichment activitiesObserve animal behavior and report concerns to veterinary staffRestrain animals safely for examinations or treatments when neededLaunder bedding, towels, and clinic linensMaintain inventory of cleaning and animal care suppliesAssist with bathing and basic grooming tasksEnsure all animals are comfortable, safe, and receiving proper careFollow sanitation, safety, and infection-control protocolsQualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferredExperience working with animals is a plusAbility to handle dogs and cats of various sizes and temperamentsStrong attention to detail and cleanlinessAbility to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 poundsCompassionate, reliable, and able to work in a fast-paced environmentWeekend and holiday availability may be requiredSkills Animal handling and restraintTime managementTeamwork and communicationObservation and reportingCleaning and sanitation proceduresAt AmeriVet, we're committed to your growth, development, well-being, and success.
