Director of Pricing & Analytics

WE FUEL UPTIME.Position SummaryThe Director of Pricing & Analytics is responsible for leading M&D's pricing strategy, analytics, and execution across all product lines and channels. This role will drive margin expansion, pricing consistency, and data-driven decision-making through the development of scalable pricing frameworks, tools, and processes.This leader will oversee pricing strategy, competitive analysis, and reporting while building and developing a high-performing analytics team. The role plays a critical part in aligning pricing with M&D's growth objectives across ecommerce, branch sales, and national accounts.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Develop and lead enterprise pricing strategy to optimize margin, competitiveness, and customer valueEstablish pricing frameworks including segmentation, discount structures, and price realization strategiesAnalyze product-level, customer-level, and channel-level profitability to identify pricing opportunitiesLead competitive pricing analysis and market benchmarking across aftermarket parts categoriesPartner with Sales, Ecommerce, and Product teams to align pricing with go-to-market strategy and customer segmentsOversee development of pricing models, elasticity analysis, and scenario planning to support decision-makingBuild and scale pricing analytics and reporting capabilities, including dashboards and KPIsDrive pricing process improvements, automation, and system enhancements to increase efficiency and accuracyLead implementation and optimization of pricing tools, systems, and data infrastructureManage, mentor, and develop a team of analysts and pricing professionalsEnsure pricing governance, controls, and consistency across the organizationSupport strategic initiatives including new product introductions, supplier changes, and acquisitionsPerform other duties as assigned by supervisor.Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Analytics, or related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred)7-10+ years of experience in pricing, analytics, or commercial strategy rolesProven experience in pricing strategy within distribution, aftermarket parts, industrial, or related industries preferredStrong analytical skills with experience in pricing models, margin analysis, and profitability optimizationDemonstrated experience leading teams and developing talentExperience with pricing process improvement, automation, and system implementationProficiency in data tools such as Excel, SQL, and BI platforms (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, etc.)Ability to translate complex data into actionable business insightsStrong cross-functional collaboration skills with Sales, Marketing, and Operations teamsExperience working in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environmentSuccessful completion of pre-employment background and drug screeningFosters good coworker citizenship and contributes to a positive work environmentPhysical Demands and Work EnvironmentThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
