About MelloMello is a premium merchandise and production company creating higher-quality custom apparel, accessories, packaging, and branded products for modern brands.We specialize in screen printing, embroidery, bespoke merchandise, product sourcing, and fulfillment - helping brands create merchandise that feels elevated, fashion-forward, and retail-ready.We're building a modern production studio and factory focused on quality, detail, and execution.About The RoleWe're looking for a highly detail-oriented Production Designer to support our production and creative teams by preparing accurate, production-ready artwork for screen printing, embroidery, packaging, and merchandise projects.This role is responsible for turning approved creative into technically correct production files - including proofs, mockups, color separations, print-ready art, embroidery prep, and production documentation.This is a critical role inside the company that directly impacts print quality, production speed, and customer experience.ResponsibilitiesCreate production-ready artwork for screen printing, embroidery, packaging, and merchandise projectsBuild customer proofs and mockups for approvalsPrepare color separations for screen printingEnsure files are correctly formatted for production equipment and vendorsOrganize and maintain production assets and artwork filesCommunicate with sales, project managers, and production staff regarding artwork requirementsHelp identify and prevent production issues before jobs go to printSupport embroidery digitizing coordination and production setup needsMaintain high accuracy across sizing, placements, colors, and specificationsAssist in improving workflow systems and production processesQualifications2+ years experience in production design, prepress, apparel decoration, print production, or related fieldsStrong Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop skillsUnderstanding of screen printing setup and separationsExperience preparing files for embroidery, print, or production is highly preferredStrong typography, layout, and file organization skillsExtremely detail-oriented and organizedAbility to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneouslyExperience in apparel, merchandise, or print production environments is a major plusIdeal CandidateTechnical and creativeObsessed with detailsFast without sacrificing accuracyStrong communicator and team playerUnderstands production limitations and how to design for real-world executionEnjoys building systems and improving workflowsBenefitsCompetitive salary + growth opportunitiesPaid holidays + PTOOpportunity to help build a rapidly growing premium production companyCollaborative creative work environmentAccess to high-end merchandise and product development projects
