Ensure that all established policies and procedures including nursing care procedures, safety regulations, human resources policies, departmental policies, and procedures to assure that quality resident care and an effective operation can be maintained.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Lead all department leadership and operations in achieving the company mission, vision, values, goals, and objectivesLead the facility management staff and consultants in developing and working from a business plan that focuses on all aspects of facility operations, including setting priorities and job assignmentsLead facility QA committee and ensure compliance with regulations for state of operationMonitor each department's activities, communicate policies, evaluate performance, provide feedback, assist, and observe, coach, and discipline as neededDevelop an environment that allows for creative thinking, problem solving, and empowerment in the development of the facility management teamOversee and conduct regular rounds to monitor delivery of nursing care, operation of support departments, cleanliness and appearance of the facility, morale of the staff, and ensure resident and tenant needs are being addressedExhibit positive customer service both to internal and external customers through the ongoing support and implementation of customer service initiatives and business objectivesUtilize survey information to address areas of importance as defined by customersEnsure consultants and other support resources are appropriately utilized, all staff is appropriately trained, and a high level of interdepartmental teamwork is maintainedEnsure the building and grounds are appropriately maintained and that equipment and work areas are clean, safe, and orderly, and any hazardous conditions are timely addressedMonitor Human Resources to ensure compliance with employment laws, company policies, and to ensure practices maintain high morale and staff retention, including effective communication, prompt problem resolution, and a proactive work environmentDevelop positive relationships on behalf of the company with government regulators, residents, tenants, families, area healthcare providers, physicians, and the communityManage facility budgets and business practices to include labor costs, payables, and receivablesEnsure a marketing strategy for the facility is developed and implemented that reflects service opportunities, completion, potential market area changes, and maximizes census, payer mix, and ancillary revenuesKnowledge and adherence to safety / disaster preparedness planAll other duties as neededREQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES:Excellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent customer service skills with a desire to build and nurture relationshipsA professional, courteous, and helpful demeanorAbility to support a diverse group of internal customers, focusing on the specific needs of each facility and communityProficient with Applicant tracking systems, CRMs and HRIS systems with Microsoft Office SuiteExperience with social networking and internet vehicles and tools such as emails, search engines, social media, blogs job boardsProven ability to manage multiple priorities with excellent organization and time management skillsAbility to work independently with little direction and with a teamAbility to strategically drive results while promoting Accura's values and missionMust possess a valid driver's license; some overnight travel requiredEDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS:Associate degree or state-approved education is requiredExperience serving in a supervisory role; 1-2 years of healthcare experience is preferredLicensed as an Assisted Living Director in the state of operationMust be capable of performing the Essential Functions of this job, with or without reasonable accommodationBENEFITS:Paid Time Off (PTO)Paid Holidays*Medical, Dental, & Vision Benefits*Employer Paid Life*Pension Plan*These benefits are available to full-time employees.
